Baseball Radio Episode 28
Friday, April 20th, 2007Welcome to our 2nd episode of the “Best Of Season 1 Series”.
After a hectic season both James and Frita are taking a well earned break over the next few weeks. During this time we have put together a series of best of interviews that we will be playing.
This week is dedicated to some legends from here and overseas.
1st up will be Australian coach John Deeble straight from the Intercontinental Cup that was currently underway in Taiwan.
The boys will also be talking to Victorian stalwart Phil Allen. Phil has been the Aussie based scout for the Colorado Rockies for the past 13 years and is also a director of http://www.bigleagueexperience.com.au/ that runs baseball tours to the USA that cater for juniors 12 - 16.
Also, James and Frita talked to Waverley legend, Australian Assistant coach and Braves scout Phil Dale as they discussed amongst other things, the good old ABL days.
Rounding of the show was the MLB legend Bobby Valentine. Bobby is the former manager of the New York Mets and is currently the manager of the Japanese team Chiba Lotte Marines. The Marines were at their training camp at the Geelong Baseball Complex.
