Welcome to the weekly wrapup of all MLB & Australian Baseball news.

This week James and Frita caught up with Aussie coach and Red Sox Scout John Deeble and senior writer from MLB.com Barry Bloom live from the World Series.

The boys also had a chat to Victorian and Phillies infielder Brad Harman ahead of the World Cup.

The show also broke some exciting news from South Australia as Baseball Radio crossed to Baseball South Australia’s New GM Paul Begg.

James and Craig were also joined by Dave Simpson who gave a wrap of the weeks Victorian Baseball News.

This week James and Frita caught-up with the Australian head coach John Deeble ahead of Australia’s November World Cup Campaign.

The boys also spoke with South Australian left-hander Adrian Burnside, back home in Adelaide after a season at AAA with the San Diego Padres.

Baseball Radio also crossed to Shane Tonkin from Baseball WA as the Perth Heat host Chinese Taipei and Canada during the month of October.

Baseball Radio Episode 50

Welcome to the weekly wrapup of all MLB & Australian Baseball news.

This week James and Frita caught-up with the Australian Baseball Federation’s Hi Performance Manager Ben Foster. Ben was on the show to discuss in detail the Australian team selections for the upcoming World Cup tournament that is being held Chinese Taipei in November.

The boys also spoke with Kansas City Royal and Australian player Justin Huber. Justin has just arrived back home in Victoria after his latest season as a slugger for the Royals. As it was announced during the show, Justin has been named as a starting outfielder with the Australian World Cup team. Justin also spoke on how his season went and what lies ahead for him as he trys to cement his place on the 40 man roster of the Royals.

Also, announced live on the show, Victoria has secured Vodafone as the major sponsor of their State League competition.

Baseball Radio Episode 49

Welcome to the weekly wrapup of all Victorian Baseball news.

A change this week see’s the live radio show move to a 6.30pm start each Friday night. From this time on the show will be of approx 90 mins duration between the hours of 6.30pm and 8 pm.

This week James and Frita caught-up with Cheltenhams Adam Blackley. Adam has just completed the season with the Boston Red Soxs A level team, the Lowell Spinners , plus it was announced that he has been selected in the initial Australian squad for the 2007 world championships.

The boys also spoke with the new CEO of the Australian Baseball Federation John May. John has a strong sporting administration background which included a stint as CEO of the Collingwood FC.
