Claxton Shield Game 2 NSW Vs WA 09/02/08

Welcome to this special podcast of the 2008 IndependentAdvice.com Claxton Shield finals match NSW Patriots Vs Barbagallo Perth Heat Game 2 that was played on Saturday evening the 9th of Feb at the Blacktown Olympic Park in NSW.

After winning the 1st game of the series, 5-3, the Heat had their ace Mark Kelly on the mound in Games 2 and this would prove to be a decisive move as Kelly went on to pitch a complete game as the Heat wrapped up the series with a 4-0 win.

Claxton Shield Game 1 Vic Vs SA 01/02/08

Welcome to this special podcast of the Claxton Shield match Victorian Aces Vs South Australia Game 1 that was played on Friday evening the 1st of Feb at the Melbourne Ball Park situated in Altona, Victoria.

Games 2 and 3 of this series will be held at the same venue and Baseball Radio will be live on air from 2.45pm on Sat the 2nd of Feb.

This week Baseball Radio caught up with Anne Marie Harrison who is the CEO of the Victorian Institute of Sport. Anne Marie discussed the role of Baseball in the VIS program where it is rated a tier one sport.

The boys also caught up with Queensland AAA (U18) coach Peter Dutton. Queensland defeated NSW 5-1 at this years championships in Perth.

Also on line this week, the boys caught up with Western Australian AA (U16) coach Geoff Dyer. WA defeated SA 12-2 at this years rain interrupted championships in Queensland.

Skinny and Frita also gave a comprehensive wrap of the Claxton Shield action to date.

The boys also caught up with 18 year old Queensland pitcher Steve Kent. Steve is playing with the Australian Provincial team in this years Claxton Shield series.
